All types of drunk driving charges should be considered serious, and if you are charged with a related offense you need to have someone who is working on your team. This is not law enforcement. In fact, police and the prosecution will do everything possible to make sure that you receive the maximum punishment for the charges you face. That is in fact their job.

Your defense attorney, however, is the one who will stick by you. Attorneys from Cro & Rue has years of experience handling DUI defense, traffic violations and driver’s license restoration. Whether you have prior convictions or this is your first offense, we will take whatever actions are necessary to make sure that your rights are protected.

What Is The ARD Program?

The Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program is for some first-time offenders of nonviolent crimes. No one is entitled to ARD. The District Attorney’s Office controls who gets in and who doesn’t. If there is a child in the car, you may be excluded. If there was an accident, you may be excluded. If you have a prior conviction, you may be excluded. In many instances our clients come to us after they have been denied ARD. We prefer to get involved early but have helped many clients gain admission even after they have been turned down prior to seeking our assistance.

Benefits Of ARD

One can benefit from ARD by earning a dismissal of the charges resulting in expungement of his or her criminal arrest record. The mandatory jail time is waived. Acceptance of ARD also results in a much shorter license suspension. In some cases no suspension is given.

Am I Eligible?

While some people are familiar with this program, many people will not know if they qualify unless they speak with an attorney. We have found success with this program for first-time DUI offenders. Our attorneys thoroughly explain the details of the program and what the overwhelming benefits consist of.
